A very popular and very pink fundraiser is returning to Southampton this month.
Race for Life will arrive at Southampton Common in a burst of pink as thousands walk, jog, and run to raise money for charity.
The annual event will see around 1,700 people take part in the 3k, 5k, and 10k events, alongside the Pretty Muddy races.
Here’s everything you need to know about Race for Life in Southampton
When and where is Race for Life?
All the races will take place at Southampton Common on July 22.
The events are open to men, women and children. However children must be aged up to 12 and at least 1.2m tall to take part in Pretty Muddy Kids.
The 3k and 10k starts at 10am and the 5k event begins at 11am.
What is Pretty Muddy and when does it start?
Up to 1,500 adults and children will take part in the Pretty Muddy events – a mud splattered obstacle course.
The first wave of children taking part in Pretty Muddy Kids will set off at 12pm with other groups following every 15 minutes.
The Pretty Muddy adult events begin at 12.45pm and groups follow every 15 minutes.
People should have been given a specific time to start their race.
This is so that organisers can keep people safe and ensure areas do not become too congested, especially around obstacles.

Call for volunteers
Cancer Research is always looking for volunteers to help at the event and join in the fun.
You can either sign up in advance or turn up on the day and head to the tent where you will be given a high vis jacket and a job to help the day tick over smoothly.
