A TEENAGER has been arrested after police seized suspected drugs and weapons during a raid on an address.

The 16-year-old boy was arrested on Benny Hill Close, Eastleigh shortly after 5pm on Friday as police conducted a warrant.

A number of items were seized including suspected Class A and B drugs, bladed weapons and an imitation firearm. 

The boy was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of Class A drugs, possession of Class A drugs, possession of an offensive weapon and possession of an imitation firearm.

He has been bailed with conditions until Saturday, October 14, as the investigation continues.

Officers from across CID West Proactive, Neighbourhoods Policing and District Policing Teams took part in the warrant.

A police spokesperson said: “We want to be clear that there is no place for weapons such as these in our communities.

"Carrying a bladed weapon instantly increases the risk of it being used to cause serious harm to someone, and these weapons can kill.

“Our work continues as a priority to disrupt drugs supply lines and remove weapons and firearms from our streets.

“We continue to urge the public to keep providing any information to us about drugs supply, use of weapons and violence in their neighbourhoods.

"The more we know from you, the more action we can take.”
