SATURDAY saw the Rock the Pier music festival return to Hythe as hundreds of people came together for the annual event.
With the stage situated within a hairsbreadth of the iconic 700-yard-long pier, musicians and dancers entertained crowds into the evening as the weekend’s heavy winds couldn’t dampen spirits.
Acts included Trav Cats, Johnson Van Dykes, Vision, REMbrandt and Stone Branches with the Soulcatchers rounding off the festival with an hour-long gig.
Money raised by the annual festival is used to fund repairs to Hythe Pier and its narrow gauge electric railway.
Last year's event raised £8,500 - an increase of £1,000 on the sum netted in 2021.
