A MAN has been arrested after security said they had seen a man carrying a knife in Marlands Shopping Centre.
Police were called to the shopping centre just off of Portland Terrace, Southampton at around 1.29pm on Friday.
It came after security reported seeing a man carrying a folding knife.
A man was arrested and a lock knife multi-tool was seized by officers.

Andrew James Matthew, 54, of Southampton Street has now been charged with possession of a knife in a public place.
He has been bailed to appear at Southampton Magistrates' Court on August 2.
In a post on Hampshire Specials' twitter account, a police officer said: "Reports that security at a shopping centre in Southampton saw a male with a knife.
"Identified the suspect walking up the high street and with the help of a taser colleague, detained the male and discovered a lock knife.
"I arrested the male and he remains in custody."
