A NEW bakery is looking to open its doors in Southampton's city centre.
Wenzel's The Bakers has installed signage over a vacant shop next to Poundland on Above Bar Street.
The popular national bakery chain said it was "born and bread" in London and has expanded to over 100 locations across the UK.
The family-run eatery has three stores in Hampshire, which are in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, and Whiteley Village.
The Southampton store is set to open next week on Wednesday, July 26.
When opened, it will be selling celebration cakes, homemade bakes and pastries, coffee, sandwiches, and more.
It says that it is "on a mission to offer the best baking at reasonable prices to its customers."
