A review into Eastleigh's local plan has begun as it aims to shape future development in the borough.
The review process into the council's proposals started after it was approved by cabinet and will be used to determine future planning applications.
The changes are aimed at ensuring the proposals remain up-to-date and deliver the required number of homes over the plan period.
The current local plan was adopted last year with controversy over proposals for 5,500 homes in Fair Oak and Bishopstoke.

Action against Destructive Development, a campaigning group set up by residents, says these homes would have caused "permanent damage" to woodland and pollution to the River Itchen.
Chair of the group, David Ashe said: "We look forward to co-operating with Eastleigh Borough Council, our parish councils, other local organisations and residents to achieve the best possible outcome.
“We hope that this time around the consultation process will be genuine, that the council will be led by what is best for the area rather than by developers and that all possible sites are given full and fair consideration.”
More information on the plan and the consultation on possible development sites can be found on the council's website.
