The Netley Marsh Steam and Craft Show once again drew in the crowds with an abundance of vintage steam engines.

Today was the finale of the three-day event at Meadow Mead Farm and it did not disappoint revellers, who also had falconry and dog shows to entertain them alongside live music, a street market, a funfair and food and craft stalls.

But of course, the main event were the displays and parades of vehicles from years gone by, ranging from tractors and steam engines to trucks, cars and motorcycles.

Engaged couple Julie Cook and Steve Pearce came from Chichester to enjoy the day out.

Steve, 59 said: "It’s quite nice, we have been here before Covid, but because we don’t live close we thought of coming down and spending the day here.

"So far, we have only been here a couple of hours but we’re really enjoying the experience, it’s been very nice."

He praised the organisation of the event, adding: "It has a lot more steam engines than it used to. It looks like a bigger show than the last time I was here, it has grown.”

Julie, 56 said: “We like the old vehicles, and the steam vehicles, it’s all very nice and makes you remember.”

Amanda Kerry, 42, was with her child Soren Byrne, three, from Salisbury.

She said: “It’s a lot bigger than I was expecting. It’s a great day to be out with the kids, there is a lot to do and it makes it so much fun for the family."

The show was first held in 1971 and celebrated its belated golden jubilee last year.
