THE pair behind a gym whose members have lost nearly 100kg in body fat and gained over 28kg in muscle have celebrated its first birthday.
Naomi Snuggs and David Cosens have spent the past year building a positive community of people focussed on improving their health and fitness at PentaLife CrossFit Chandler's Ford.
Despite a challenging first year in business amid the cost of living crisis, the couple have been able to deliver 5,457 hours of fitness and nutrition coaching, helping their members lose 97.3 kilograms of body fat and gain 28.1 kilograms of muscle.

Naomi said: "Everyone says that the first year in business is the hardest and it has definitely been a challenging year for us, but we are really pleased with what we have achieved so far.
"Every day we are inspired by the commitment shown by our members as they work hard to improve their health and fitness. We are looking forward to helping many more people become the healthiest version of themselves."
Issy Reading, from Bitterne Park, joined in November 2022 on a friend's recommendation and has made amazing progress, measured through regular scans on the gym’s InBody 270.
Issy has lost an impressive 13.5 kilograms of body fat and gained 1.2 kilograms of muscle, resulting in an overall weight loss of 11.2 kilograms and reduction in body fat percentage of 10.6. Issy has also reduced the level of visceral fat around her internal organs.
Issy has achieved this through attending group fitness classes three times per week and focussing on her nutrition, taking part in the gym’s healthy habits-based nutrition challenges.
She said: "I really wanted to improve my fitness levels and general health and was attracted to Pentalife because of its holistic ethos and small class sizes.
"As soon as I met Naomi and David I was sure I’d found my place! They seem to know the right moments to challenge me to work harder, even when I think I’ve reached my limits, and they’re big on celebrating success and noticing small improvements.
I really enjoy the varied classes and Pentalife has a really positive culture which is very supportive and encouraging."
