A SHOPLIFTER has been jailed after stealing cheese, chocolate and meat from a Southampton Co-Op store.
Shane Bartlett, 35, pleaded guilty to five counts of theft from a shop at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
All of the incidents took place at the Co-Op store on Millbrook Road West in June and July.
On July 12, Bartlett stole meat and cheese to the value of £40.
The next day he stole chocolate worth £34.

On July 15, he again walked away with chocolate as well as meat to the value of £15.
He stole a further £60 worth of goods on July 9 and an unknown quantity on June 21.
Bartlett, of Patrick House, Southampton was jailed for 24 weeks and must pay court costs of £85.
The offences were committed during the operational period of a suspended sentence.
