A man has been charged after guns were found in an area of Southampton woodland earlier this year.

Three guns were found near Mansbridge Road and Kane Pollard, 25, of Frome Road in Southampton has since been charged.

He has been charged with possession a self-loading/pump action smooth-bore gun, possession of a firearm of length less than 30cm, and possession of a firearm without a certificate.

Pollard has also been charged with being concerned in the supply of cannabis, possession of cannabis, acquire/use/possess criminal property, possession of an offensive weapon in private place, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.

He will appear at Southampton Magistrates’ Court on August 25.

A police cordon was set up on the road on February 9 this year.

A bag containing three firearms was found by workmen in the area.
