A popular community festival will not return this year, organisers have confirmed.
TriFest was due to take place on July 22 but was cancelled due to adverse weather conditions.
Organisers were in talks with Southampton City Council to reschedule the event, but sadly it will not take place.
Sadly TriFest Will not return this year

We had a huge amount of goodwill from stallholders, artists, and festival goers, and we really tried to make it happen but on the dates available to us it just would come together.
😭😭😭 But we WILL be back next year.

Festival coordinator Paul Jenks said: “It is with a heavy heart that we have to say it will not be possible to run TriFest later this year after the bad weather knocked us out on July 22.
“We had a huge amount of goodwill from stallholders and festival goers, and we really tried to make it happen, but on the dates available to us it just would not work.
“There are certain key elements that have to happen for a festival to run, unfortunately, and through nobody's fault, we could not get it to come together.”
The festival held in Bitterne Park Triangle is set to return next year.
