Police are searching for the 'main aggressors' in groups of 'intimidating and disruptive' teenagers seen charging through Westquay.
Officers were called to the shopping centre on Friday afternoon following reports of a large group of people behaving in an anti-social manner in the dining area.
It was then reported that the group had travelled through Hoglands Park and Palmerston Road, causing further anti-social behaviour including throwing chairs, bottles and smoke bombs.
An incident of criminal damage was reported at the Watermark building, and it was also reported that items had been stolen from a Greggs store.
Officers attended and the people involved dispersed.
Police remained in the area that evening and over the weekend carrying out increased patrols, on top of regular weekend patrols.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the incident.
Inspector Tim Williams, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are currently working to identify any crimes that have been committed as a result of this incident and are reviewing CCTV in order to identify the main aggressors.
“We are also making follow-up enquiries in the city centre, which includes visiting and speaking to the businesses involved.
“While we appreciate that this incident will have been intimidating and disruptive to businesses, staff and people in the area, we believe it to be an isolated incident at the current time.”
Although described by onlookers as a 'riot', the incident was the result of a meet and greet with Youtubers DROPOUTS.
An online video of the event captures the moment when scores of teenagers surged through the shopping complex, led by a man holding a microphone.
One of the Youtubers SnowyJoe has since addressed the controversy surrounding the meet and greet, and described the events as 'unacceptable'.
Speaking on a TikTok video, he said: “I've got to hold some sort of accountability because obviously we did start this meet and greet.
“But we didn't know all these people were going to turn up.
“I had no control over the smoke bombs that were thrown.
“I had no control over the chairs, about the raids, no control whatsoever.
“Listen guys, I love the support from all of you, but what happened that day was absolutely unacceptable.
“All we wanted to do was just do a simple meet and greet, take photos, but it went a bit crazy, and it just stops us from doing that again.”
