A potential witness police wanted to speak to in connection with the discovery of a human placenta in Southampton has been discounted from enquiries, police have confirmed.
The man was identified following a CCTV appeal issued on Monday.
Officers believed he was in the Dale Road and Holly Brook Park area on Saturday, July 1 at around midday - ten days after the discovery - and that he 'may have information to assist police'.
The man has since provided a statement and is no longer part of the investigation.
