Cyclists repeatedly took off, twisting their bikes from side to side in midair before returning to earth a split-second later.

The day-long festival was organised by Southampton Bike Park and DC Cycles.

The bike park's founder, Luis Arnold said: "It's an annual event that attracts an average of around 350 cyclists.

"What makes it so popular is the vibe. People come here knowing they're going to have a good time and a bit of fun with their friends.

"It's a free event that's organised by the community for the community.

"It's somewhere people can practice and hone their skills. It gives them confidence which they can apply when riding on the roads."
