A man who was wanted by police has made his first court appearance.
Anthony Arnold appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court on Thursday afternoon.
The 22-year-old of Chiltern Green, Southampton was arrested on Wednesday evening and charged with escaping lawful custody.
He is yet to enter a plea and the case has been adjourned.
Arnold will next appear at the same court for a plea and trial preparation hearing on September 15, 2023.
He has been remanded in custody.
