Fareham residents have only until the end of the month to save on half-priced wheelie bins.

Fareham Borough Council is offering residents the chance to get a half price brown wheelie bin for who chose to sign up to ‘Clip and Collect’ garden waste collection service.

More than 20,700 households are currently signed up to the service which collects garden waste every two weeks with residents’ recycling.

The subscription is broken down into two parts: an annual subscription for the collection service and a one-off fee to purchase a new brown-lidded wheelie bin.

Until August 31, residents who sign up for an annual subscription will only pay half price for the upfront cost of this wheelie bin.

140 litre wheelie bin:

Annual subscription £55

Half price bin at £18.50 instead of £37

240 litre wheelie bin:

Annual subscription £65

Half price bin at £19.50 instead of £39

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Ian Bastable, said: “This special offer is similar to that which was run when the subscription service was first introduced.

“It provides a significant saving against the upfront cost of the brown-lidded wheelie bin when signing up to the annual subscription service.

“This special offer will expire at the end of August so, if you are thinking of subscribing, I urge you to do so without delay.”

Residents can sign up online at www.fareham.gov.uk/gardenwaste or call 01329 236100.
