A driver who was clocked travelling 20mph over the speed limit on the M27 has been given points on his licence.
Stephen Harfield of Chriton Road, Eastleigh, was caught driving a Peugeot on the eastbound M27 at 60mph.
A 40mph speed limit was in place at the time on the stretch of road between junctions five and seven near West End.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, the 39-year-old pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit.

He also pleaded guilty to failing to comply with lane closure signals on the same section of road.
He was caught by an automatic camera.
Magistrates gave Harfield four points on his licence for the incident on January 26 this year.
He was also fined £246 and ordered to pay court costs of 110 plus a £98 surcharge.
This must be paid in full by September 14, 2023.
