THE following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

JOSE CAMACHO DE ABREU, 66, of Bernard Street, Southampton pleaded guilty to stopping a vehicle within pelican pedestrian crossing limits and driving without valid insurance. He was fined £80 and given six penalty points. Abreu must also pay court costs of £110 and a £32 surcharge. 

THOMAS ERNSBERGER, 74, of Oram Way, West End admitted drink driving on Tollbar Way, Hedge End. He was found to have 54 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath whilst driving a Vauxhall Viva. Ernsberger was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a £550 fine. Ernsberger was also made to pay court costs of £85 and a £220 surcharge. 

JACK CORNHILL, 29, of Ballard Close, Southampton admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis at Brookside Way, Southampton. He was granted bail to appear next on October 4 at the same court for sentencing. An interim disqualification was put in place.

LEON ALDRIDGE, 24, of Diamond Drive, Kidlington pleaded guilty to driving without valid insurance on Britannia Road, Southampton. He also admitted a charge of failing to provide a specimen for analysis on Southern Road. He was given a one-year community order with 80 hours of unpaid work. Aldridge was disqualified from driving for three years and ordered to pay a £114 surcharge.

GEORGE ASHLEY, 35, of Newlands Close, Blackfield admitted possessing a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, in Southampton. He was given a 12-month conditional discharge with an order made for forfeiture and destruction of the drugs. Ashley must pay £85 court costs and a £26 surcharge. 

LUKE COOKSON, 32, of Hartford Road, Northwich admitted drug driving in Southampton. He was found with cocaine in his blood. Cookson was disqualified from driving for 12 months and must pay a £55 fine. He was also told to pay court costs of £50 and a £22 surcharge.
