A DRIVER who was caught travelling at almost double the speed limit has been fined.
Billy Chapman, of Middle Road, Southampton was clocked driving at 59mph on the A3024 Bitterne Road West on February 27.
Chapman, 23, was behind the wheel of a Ford Fiesta at the time he was caught by manned speeding equipment.
The speed limit on that stretch of road is 30mph.

Chapman pleaded guilty to a single count of speeding at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
He was given a £648 fine and six points on his licence.
He was also ordered to pay court costs of £110 and a £259 surcharge.
This must be paid in full by September 21.
