THE Home Secretary has said she is seeking urgent advice on banning XL Bully breed dogs.
Reacting to the news of an XL Bully mauling an 11-year-old girl and two men, Suella Braverman - Fareham MP - tweeted: "This is appalling. The American XL Bully is a clear and lethal danger to our communities, particularly to children.
"We can’t go on like this.
"I have commissioned urgent advice on banning them."
Mrs Braverman was responding to an attack on a double decker bus in Bordesley Green, Birmingham, on Saturday afternoon.
A video has shows the dog biting the little girl's arm.
It was being taken for a walk by its owner at the time.
Mrs Braverman's announcement she will seek to ban the breed comes after campaigners called for an outright ban on the American XL Bully.
