Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service has warned residents not to be alarmed if they notice fire crews at Fawley Refinery this evening.
Fawley Refinery is completing a fire and safety training exercise this evening, with firefighters involved.
Cress from Totton, Hythe, Hardley and Beaulieu are all expected to be on hand for the training exercise.
Oil and gas company, Exxon Mobil, operates Fawley refinery.
They tweeted: “As part of our regular planning and commitment to safe operations, this evening we are working with Hampshire & the Isle of Wight Fire & Rescue Service to test our readiness and share knowledge.”
