The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

MAURICE TAYLOR, 41, of Graham Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to remaining on or entering a premises in contravention of a closure notice. This related to a flat on Craven Walk which she attended despite a closure notice being in place due to anti-social behaviour. Taylor was fined £40 and must pay £85 court costs plus a £16 surcharge. 

KERRY ELLIOTT, 54, of Palm Road, Southampton admitted causing criminal damage to a black Ford Fiesta in Paul Road. She also pleaded guilty to racially or religiously aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress. Elliott was given a community order until March 7, 2025 with 25 rehabilitation activity requirement days. She must also pay court costs of £85 and a £114 surcharge.

GAVIN DAY, 55, of Frendown Crescent, Southampton pleaded guilty to common assault, using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear or provoke unlawful violence and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause harassment, alarm or distress. He was granted bail to appear at the same court on October 17 for sentencing.

JAMES TEMBEY-MORTIMER, 41, of Chadwick Way, Hamble was found guilty of assault by beating on Hawkhurst Close, Southampton. He was given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months with a 15-day rehabilitation activity requirement. He must also pay court costs of £310 and a £154 surcharge. 

FIROZA SUMRA, 55, of Culvery Gardens, West End was found guilty of failing to give information relating to the identification of a driver of a vehicle in Totton. Sumra was fined £300 and received six points on their licence. They must also pay £620 court costs and a £120 surcharge. 

GARY COLBURN, 58, of Lytham Road, Southampton admitted drug driving on St Denys Road. He was disqualified for 12 months, fined £80 and must pay court costs of £85 plus a £32 surcharge.
