The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

SULTAN AHMED, 54, of Ashley Road, New Milton pleaded guilty to failing to comply with notification requirements on the sex offenders' register in that he failed to complete his annual registration. He was given three months imprisonment suspended for 24 months with 35 rehabilitation days and 80 hours of unpaid work. He must pay court costs of £85 and a £154 surcharge.

LAURA GODLEY, 44, of Windermere Avenue, Southampton admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke violence. She also pleaded guilty to possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, namely a crowbar, and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause fear of or provoke unlawful violence. Godley was given a one-year community order with 20 rehabilitation days. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the crowbar. Godley must pay a £350 fine, £85 court costs and a £114 surcharge.

JACK MEFFEN, 20, of Woodside Close, Marchwood pleaded guilty to driving without insurance and driving whilst disqualified on a Honda Motorcycle on Woodside Close. Meffen was bailed to appear next at Southampton Crown Court for sentencing on October 4.

DEAN SMITH, 38, of Campion Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving at the Campion Road/Burke Drive junction in Bitterne. He was found to have 49 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of breath. Smith was disqualified for 15 months and fined £120. He must pay court costs of £85 and a £48 surcharge. 

NICO CHRISTENSEN, 19, of Hollywood Lane, Lymington admitted drink driving on Norley Wood Road, East End with 121 microgrammes of alcohol in 100ml of blood. He was banned for 15 months and fined £178. Christensen must also pay court costs of £85 and a £71 surcharge.
