The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

MARTIN STEDMAN, 43, of Penine Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving whilst disqualified, using a vehicle with any of the tyre ply or cord exposed, drink driving, driving with no front registration plate and driving with no insurance. These all relate to a blue Ford Transit Tipper which he was driving on Shirley Avenue. Stedman was jailed for five months and disqualified from driving for five years. 

SEBASTIAN ZAK, 26, of Pinegrove Road, Southampton admitted failing to provide a specimen for analysis as the person in charge of a vehicle. He was bailed to appear at the same court on November 1 for sentencing. 

PAUL MEAKINS, 47, of Lymington Close, London pleaded guilty to two counts of drug driving on Saxon Road, Southampton. This relate to cocaine and Benzoylecgonine - a breakdown product of cocaine - found in his blood. He was bailed to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court on September 27.

DUNCAN MACCOLL, 19, of Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh admitted a single count of assault by beating. He was given a community order to run until March 19, 2025, with an accredited programme and 10 days of rehabilitation activity. He must also pay £500 compensation and a £100 fine.

WIESLAW ZURAWSKI, 50, of Wilton Avenue, Southampton admitted possessing a knife in a public place, namely Coxford Road, Southampton. He was given an 18-week sentence suspended for 18 months with 20 days of rehabilitation activity. An order was made for the deprivation of the knife. Zurawski must pay £85 court costs and a £154 surcharge. 

EMIL WALASZCZYK, 43, of Maybush Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating. He was bailed to appear at the same court on October 25 for sentencing. 

SAMANTHA BIRCH, 32, of Marston Road, Southampton admitted a single count of assault by beating. She was given a community order until March 19, 2025, with 20 days of rehabilitation activity and 80 hours of unpaid work. She must also pay a £114 surcharge.
