A Totton pub has been closed for a major six-figure refurbishment which will see it revamped inside and out.
The Old Farmhouse on Ringwood Road closed its doors on Sunday as Greene King carries out refurbishment work.
The work will see the watering hole revamped inside and out with a brand-new menu and a "new look and feel throughout" when it reopens.
It is expected to welcome customers back in late October with general manager, Ashley Williams saying staff are "beyond excited" and "can't wait to reopen to the community".
“The Old Farmhouse we will remain the local community pub we have always been and guests, both old and new, are sure to love our new offering!
“The revamp will bring a revived atmosphere to the pub, and we’re confident that with our improved facilities we’ll be proud to offer our guests an even better drinking, dining and social experience.”
The investment is also expected to provide a number of new jobs with the company recruiting for front and back of house as well as team leaders.
The pub currently running a competition on its Facebook page to find ‘Totton’s local hero’, who will cut the ribbon on the opening night.
Nominations can be entered on the The Old Farmhouse Totton Facebook page.
