A shoplifter has been sentenced for stealing "large quantities" of meat from two stores at Dibden Purlieu.
David Emblem, 38, of Ashford Crescent in Hythe pleaded guilty to both offences when he appeared at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
Emblem was handed a community order, including a requirement to take part in rehabilitation activities, and was told to pay a victim services surcharge of £114.
One of the thefts occurred at Sizer Way on September 1 and the other took place at Beaulieu Road on September 17.
A police spokesperson said: "On both occasions, large quantities of meat were stolen."
