Firefighters had to saw through a patio table to rescue a cat that had its claws trapped.

A team from Lymington Fire Station was called to a home in Paddock Gardens in Lymington.

Holly, a 17-year-old moggy cat had found herself entangled in a patio table.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue said: “Holly was in pain having trapped her claws in a patio table at a property in Paddock Gardens.

“The local on-call crew were alerted shortly after 7pm, before using a saw to cut the table off the beloved pet’s leg.”

Once freed, the fire crew conducted a home fire safety visit and left Holly to continue her nine lives at home.

The incident happened on October 5.
