Two boys have been arrested after reports of a group with a 'gun' in a car park led to an armed police response.
According to police, at around 8.20pm last night armed response officers were called to a report 'of a group in possession of a suspected offensive weapon' in War Memorial Car Park in Salisbury Road, Totton.
When they arrived, officers found a BB gun, which they seized.

The group were searched and a 17-year-old boy, from Totton, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an imitation firearm in a public place.
Another 17-year-old boy, also from Totton, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply a Class B drug.
Cannabis, drug paraphernalia, cash and a mobile phone were also seized by the attending officers.
Both boys remain in police custody and police say the investigation into this incident remains ongoing.
A spokesman for the force said: "As always, if you see or witness anything suspicious, please do continue to report these incidents to us via the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary website or by calling 101.
"If it is an emergency, or there is a crime in progress, please dial 999 immediately."
