Part of a Southampton road is set to close for seven weeks with access only available to residents as works get underway.
The third phase of the Glen Eyre Quietway is set to start on Monday, October 16 for seven weeks.
Funded as part of a Transforming Cities Fund awarded to Southampton City Council in 2020, the newest updates will see new buildouts with colour-imprinted surfaces added to protect parking bays.
New electric vehicle and e-scooter charging facilities will also be installed, as well as bike hire bays within the protective buildouts.
It comes after works began in June to improve crossing facilities.
The work is taking place in four phases.

A raised table has already been placed across the junction of Glen Eyre Road and Violet Road to reduce driver speeds.
Phase three of the roadworks is set to improve access and safety for pedestrians, vehicles, cyclists, and users of e-scooter and bike hire services.
Improvements to the Glen Eyre Quietway come after Southampton City Council launched a survey for Bassett residents in 2022, seeking to make Southampton a “liveable, and sustainable place to live, work, and visit.”
