I have driven along the part of Portland Terrace (due to be converted into a bus lane) many times and have never seen a bus held up by a car.

To claim 10-minute delays just shows the unreliability of the city council’s data.

Very few cars use the route but for those that do it is much easier and over a mile shorter.

I note that elsewhere in your newspaper there are complaints about air pollution.

This will be increased by the affected cars having to drive further as will congestion.

I would ask the city council to reconsider this scheme please.
