It's a time every parent, grandparent and carer feels proud - a child's first days at school are precious to many.

And this year Reception classes across the Southampton area have been captured in brilliant pictures by the Daily Echo in our popular First Class feature.

Returning to the Echo after a year off, the feature will showcase around 70 classes from nearly 40 schools - with some classes still being photographed.

All of the pictures will be printed in a special First Class supplement in the Daily Echo next month.

You can pick up First Class in your normal copy of the Echo in all good shops on Friday, November 17.
