Six attempted murder suspects have been released with no further action following a stabbing in Shirley.
Police were called to Shirley Road at 11pm on July 23 after receiving a report of a 30-year-old man that had suffered stab wounds to the left side of his body.
Shortly after this incident, police were then informed that a second man had also been injured.
The second victim, also aged 30, suffered a serious injury to the left-hand side of his body.
Officers then arrested seven men, all from Southampton, on suspicion of attempted murder.
Two of them are aged 34 while the rest are 23, 25, 33, 39 and 44.
The police have now offered an update on the incident.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “We can confirm that through our enquiries that six men have since been released and no further action taken against them in respect of the incident on Shirley Road on 23 July.
“A 38-year-old man from Southampton remains on police conditional bail until 20 December 2023 while our enquiries continue.”
