The following speeding cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court.

HELEN WOODMAN, 72, of Dickens Dell, Totton pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit on the westbound M27 between junctions eight and seven near Hedge End. She was clocked at 73mph whilst behind the wheel of a Suzuki. A 50mph variable speed limit was in place at the time. Woodman was fined £80 and received four penalty points. She must also pay a £32 surcharge. 

MADELINE GODDING, 55, of Lauriston Road, London pleaded guilty to exceeding a variable speed limit on the M27 westbound between junctions eight and seven near Hedge End. She was behind the wheel of an Audi when she was caught at 47mph by an automatic camera. The speed limit at the time was 40mph. Godding was fined £70 and received three points on her licence. She must also pay a £28 surcharge.

LEONIE HUTCHINGS, 29, of Linacre Road, Southampton admitted speeding on Northam Bridge. He was driving a Toyota when he was caught by manned speeding equipment at 35mph. The speed limit on the bridge is 30mph. Hutchings was banned from driving for one month and fined £25. He received three penalty points.

ROBERT HALL, 45, of Cerne Close, North Baddesley pleaded guilty to speeding on the A31 Winchester Road at Alton. He was driving an Iveco Drop-side lorry when he was caught at 38mph in the 30ph zone by manned speeding equipment. The case was adjourned to April 4, 2024 at the same court for sentencing. 

SAMANTHA NODEN, 41, of Mallards Road, Bursledon was found guilty of exceeding a variable speed limit on the eastbound M27 between junctions five and seven near West End. She was driving a Renault when she was clocked at 69mph by an automatic speed camera. The speed limit at the time was 50mph. She was disqualified for 28 days and fined £525. Noden must pay court costs of £85 and a £210 surcharge.
