The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
LEE WOOKEY, 46, of Farringford Road, Thornhill admitted drug driving at Woodbury in Basingstole. He was caught with 5.3 micrograms of THC - a break-down product of cannabis - per litre of blood. Wookey was granted bail to appear at the same court on November 1 for sentencing.
MEGAN O'MAHONY, 30, of Dean Road, Southampton pleaded guilty to drink driving on Anglesea Road, Portsmouth. She was caught with 70 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath. She also admitted failing to stop a vehicle for a constable or traffic warden. She was bailed to appear at the same court on February 29, 2024 for a Newton Hearing.
JAMIE BROOKER, 34, of The Dell, Southampton pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, driving without a licence and drink driving. They were behind the wheel of a Volkswagen Polo at Wimpson Gardens with 161 milligrams of alcohol per 100ml of blood. Brooker was given an interim disqualification and bailed to appear at the same court on December 13 for sentencing.

GRZEGORZ TROJANOWSKI, 48, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to possessing a controlled drug of Class B, namely amphetamine in Southampton. He was fined £120. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
SIMON PATEL, 57, of Portsmouth Road, Horndean pleaded guilty to using a phone whilst driving a Volkswagen Caddy on Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Patel was fined £333 and received six penalty points. He must also pay court costs of £110 and a £133 surcharge.
JAMIE COOKE, 34, of Woodfield Road, Rothley admitted using a vehicle of trailer which caused danger of injury due to the security of its load. He was caught driving on Redbridge Flyover, Southampton with various items not securely fastened to the truck including an open toolbox, a ratchet strap. a wheelbarrow and a saw blade. Cooke was fined £300 and received three points. He must also pay £85 court costs and a £34 surcharge.
