Eastleigh College has closed its doors to students today as Storm Ciarán sweeps in.
The college on Chestnut Avenue said the decision was made due to the ‘severe weather conditions’.
In a post online, the college said: “We are taking the precautionary measures, following advice from the local authority, to close the College in full on Thursday due to the severe weather conditions of Storm Ciarán."

They added: “All learning will be set on-line for students and apprentices to work on at home. Please see your email for information.
“We expect to reopen on Friday as usual.
“The safety of our staff, students and the college community remain of utmost importance.”
The move comes after several Southampton schools announced they would close today.
At least 48 schools in the city are shut and school crossing patrols are suspended.
