The announcement was made by the Duke of Wellington pub earlier this afternoon.
But the historical pub in Bugle Street confirmed the closure is only temporary as Storm Ciarán passes through the city.

Earlier today the Met Office lowered the amber weather alert to a yellow weather alert.
A yellow weather warning for both wind and rain is still in force today.
In an online post, a spokesperson said: “Due to the storm, we will be closed the rest of the day to ensure we don’t put anyone at risk.
“We will be back tomorrow with normal opening hours.”
