No running water has forced the closure of several schools and nurseries in the New Forest.
Many have closed for the day following the ongoing issues with Southern Water's supply.
The list of schools
- Orchard Junior School in Dibden Purlieu
- Little Gardners nursery in Marchwood
- Wildground Federation of Infant, Junior Schools and Nursery
- Oak Lodge Special School
- Noadswood School
The decision comes after Ciarán closed Southern Water’s Testwood site.
Thousands of homes have been left with no water and low pressure.

In a statement, the Orchard Junior School said it is ‘unsafe for children to come into school’.
They added: “Staff will be monitoring the situation over the weekend, but we hope to be open as usual on Monday 6th November 2023.
“Once again, thank you for your understanding.”
Little Gardners Nursery also has no running water so cannot open ‘safely and hygienically’.
The team said: “We are in talks with Southern Water, this is an issue affecting the local area.
“If anything changes, we will be in contact.”
