A man is in hospital after 'leaving a moving van' on a busy Southampton road, police have said.
Police officers were called to Southampton city centre shortly before 5.30am this morning.
It was reported the man in his 30s left the moving van at the junction of West Quay Road and Southern Road.
He was then seen running down the road and moving in and out of the path of oncoming traffic.

Officers attended and the man has been taken to hospital with injuries to his head, elbow, and knee.
A spokesperson from Hampshire Constabulary said: “We remain at the scene carrying out enquiries in order to ascertain the circumstances of what has taken place.”
Several lanes of West Quay Road were closed to motorists this morning while the incident was dealt with.
It has since reopened to traffic.
