A woman has been named and charged with attempted murder following an incident which saw two young children rescued from the River Itchen.
The incident, near Cobden Bridge, happened just after 3.30pm on Thursday, October 26.
Police were called at 3.38pm following several reports that a woman had gone in the river near Cobden Bridge with two young children.

Emergency services attended soon after and the woman and two children were taken out of the river and received treatment.
Rhonda Micetich, 31, from Argyle Road, Southampton, has since been charged with two counts of attempted murder.
She appeared at Southampton Magistrates Court today and was remanded into custody.
Micetich is due to appear at Southampton Crown Court on Friday, 1 December.
