A new licensee is set to take over the Windsor Castle pub on Shirley Road.
This comes after management confirmed they would be leaving the pub.
In a social media post, a spokesperson for the Windsor Castle said: “To all our regular customers we’d to say thank you for your custom over the last two years.
“The pub isn’t going anywhere. We’re not leaving because we want to, but we have to.
“We’re very grateful for the staff and customers that have helped over time.”
When approached for a comment, a spokesperson for Admiral Taverns, owner of the Windsor Castle, said: “At Admiral we are strong believers in the importance of community pubs and our focus is always on helping our licensees to run sustainable pub businesses, however there are inevitably instances where we have to part ways with a licensee.
“We have found a passionate new licensee from the local area to take over the Windsor Castle and we are working extremely hard to reopen the pub as soon as possible."
