A large retail emporium full of vintage and handmade items will close this month.
The shock announcement was made by the Mercantile Flea team on Facebook.
The post read: “Our closing days and hours will be Tuesday to Saturday 10am to 3.30pm, up to November 30.
“We would like to thank all our traders and customers for their support.”

The shop opened in the former Sainsbury’s site on West End Road in Bitterne in October 2021.
It was met with a warm reception from residents, who enjoyed browsing the various independent traders’ wares in the store.
The closure comes after Robin’s Nest at 129 High Street shut its doors for good earlier this year, leaving only the Robin’s Nest Emporium in Shirley.
