A crash caused traffic chaos for commuters travelling on the M27.
The westbound carriageway was hit by queues of up to 90 minutes on Monday morning.
Motorists faced heavy delays following the crash between Bursledon and Park Gate.
Hampshire Constabulary confirmed officers were called to the scene.
A spokesperson said: “Officers were called at 6.51am today to a collision on the M27 westbound between junctions 9 and 8.
“The collision involved two vehicles.
“One person suffered a minor injury.”
Three lanes were closed for a short period whilst the incident was dealt with, according to National Highways.
Traffic was temporarily stopped while recovery took place but was later released in lane one.
Queues of vehicles were backed up all the way on the westbound side to Port Solent.
