Smoke seen billowing from a block of flats prompted an emergency response.
Fire crews were called to the council-owned Potters Court on Wimpson Lane on Sunday.
Reports of smoke coming from an external boiler were made and firefighters attended on Sunday afternoon.
The incident was deemed a false alarm and was left with staff and the boiler company who arranged for an engineer to attend.

Crews were called to the block the previous day to assist staff in moving residents.
Firefighters did not attend but referred the caller onto the ambulance.
It comes after two pensioners had to sleep in their own wheelchairs after lifts at the flats broke down last week.
These are now being fixed, Southampton City Council has confirmed.
