Five teenagers have been spotted vandalising cars in the Thornhill area.
Eyewitnesses say the gang was targeting residents' cars and kicking wing mirrors off vehicles in Napier Road.
Onlookers who saw the incident on Sunday said the group included a mix of boys and girls around the age of 14 to 15.
An an engineer who works in the area said: “The group were running up and down the street, booting wing mirrors off cars that were parked along the side of the road.
“There appeared to be no clear intention and they were just causing havoc and damage for the fun of it.”
Police have confirmed they are aware of the incident.
A police spokesperson said: “It was reported to us that just before 4pm on Sunday November 11, five young people were damaging vehicles in Napier Road.”
