A young man found dead in the water at Victoria Country Park had gone for an early morning swim, a coroner has said.
Samual Grey, 23, of Botley Road, Eastleigh, was found at 7.14am on July 12 this year.
Area coroner Jason Pegg, who opened the inquest into Mr Grey's death at Winchester Coroner's Court, said it was thought Mr Grey had gone for a swim at the park in Netley Abbey.
The initial cause of death has been given as drowning.
