A woman walking her dog in Hedge End was assaulted by another woman on a popular dog walking route.
The assault took place in Old Shamblehurst Lane in Hedge End.
The victim, who is in her 30s, had to attend accident and emergency due to the injuries she received in the assault.
A spokesperson for Hampshire police said: “Officers are investigating a report of assault in Old Shamblehurst Lane, in Hedge End at approximately 8am on Friday, November 10.
“The victim, who was walking her dog at the time of the incident, reported being assaulted by another dog walker, also a woman.
“Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the incident should call 101 and quote incident number 44230459657.
