A woman has been banned from driving after aiding a hit-and-run driver who left a teenage cyclist in a critical condition.
Elisha Wyeth, 25, was banned for six months after she admitted to aiding or abetting Vinny Pomery on the day of the crash in Commercial Road.
A 17-year-old cyclist was rushed to hospital in a critical condition after he was hit by Pomery's Ford Kuga just after 12.10am on Monday 8 last year.
Pomery, 25, previously pleaded guilty to multiple charges including driving without insurance, driving without a licence and failing to stop after a road accident.
He was jailed for 24 weeks and banned from driving for three years.
Wyeth, of Beacon Close, Rownhams pleaded guilty to two charges of aiding/abetting the driving of a motor vehicle otherwise than in accordance with a licence and two charges of driving without insurance.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court this month, Wyeth was also given 14 points on her licence, fined £120 and ordered to pay a £34 surcharge by December 4.
