The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for rain in Southampton on Friday.
Southampton residents are being warned of up to 50mm of rain, localised flooding and disruption to travel, according to the Met Office.
The yellow warning will remain in place from 9pm on Friday until 3pm on Saturday afternoon.
A spokesperson from the Met Office said: “A largely dry and bright morning with some prolonged spells of often hazy sunshine.
“Turning cloudier from the west through the afternoon and evening. Turning wet and windy overnight.
“Windy, with persistent and occasionally heavy rain Saturday, easing towards the evening.”
“Maximum temperature 11 °C.”

What to expect
Spray and flooding on roads, probably making journey times longer.
Bus and train services probably affected, with journey times taking longer.
Flooding of a few homes is possible.
Some interruption to power supplies and other services.
