Police continue to investigate the sudden death of a man at a high rise tower block in Southampton.

The incident yesterday morning created a large police presence outside Canberra Towers in Kingsclere Avenue, with at least eight police vehicles parked up outside and in surrounding roads.

The car park was also partially cordoned off, with officers stationed by the police tape.

The force was first called just before 10.30am about the incident.

Daily Echo: The man who died was in his 30s, and his family were aware, a police spokesman said.

The police presence remained throughout the day, as officers continued to piece together the circumstances.

By 4.30pm yesterday, the police were still describing the death as 'unexplained'.

Kat Annells said: "Awful, thoughts are with this poor man's family at this dreadful time."
