The following cases have been heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court...
TERRY KING, 40, of Priestlands, Romsey pleaded guilty to driving without a seat belt, drug driving and speeding on Wimpson Lane, Southampton. He was driving a Ford Transit at the time of the offences. King was banned from driving for 14 months and fined £200. He must also pay court costs of £85 plus an £80 surcharge.
DARWIN MOODY, 59, of Lydgate Close, Southampton admitted possessing a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine. He was fined £36 and ordered to pay a £14 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the cocaine.
PATRICK EDWARDS, 55, of Arun Road, West End pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by beating and one of common assault. He was given a two-year conditional discharge and must pay £85 court costs plus a £26 surcharge.

PAUL HAYWARD, 53, of Gordon Road, Waterlooville admitted a charge of using a mobile phone whilst driving. He was behind the wheel of an MG on Bert Betts Way, Bursledon at the time. Hayward was fined £134 and received six points on his licence. He must also pay a £66 surcharge.
GRANT NICHOLAS, 28, of no fixed abode pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a section 35 direction excluding a person from an area, namely Above Bar Street, Southampton. He was fined £50 and ordered to pay a £40 surcharge.
KAMIL ANDRZEJCZAK, 34, of Chickenhall Lane, Eastleigh admitted possessing a controlled drug of Class A, namely a quantity of amphetamine in Eastleigh. He was also found guilty of common assault of an emergency worker. Andrzejczak was fined £400 and must pay £300 court costs plus a £160 surcharge. An order was made for the forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
